Role Purpose

The Head of IT is a senior leadership role responsible for building, stabilizing, and scaling a centralized IT organization that supports GlobalStep’s global delivery model. This role is accountable not only for operational excellence but also for transforming IT into a proactive business enabler that improves productivity, collaboration, and scalability while maintaining cost discipline.

Role Scope

  • End-to-end ownership of IT across infrastructure, network, endpoint, collaboration, service desk, and enterprise platforms
  • Leadership of Pune-based centralized IT team with coordination of global site support
  • Ownership of IT budgets, vendor ecosystem, and platform strategy
  • Accountability for service quality, uptime, and user experience across all studios

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a multi-year IT roadmap aligned to business growth and operational needs
  • Build a scalable operating model leveraging centralization, automation, and standardization
  • Establish strong service management discipline including SLAs, KPIs, reporting, and governance
  • Drive platform consolidation and reduce fragmentation across tools and systems
  • Ensure high availability and resilience of infrastructure and workplace systems
  • Lead vendor selection, negotiations, and ongoing performance management
  • Partner with Security Lead to ensure secure-by-design technology environment
  • Communicate IT strategy, risks, and performance to executive leadership

Candidates Profile

  • 12–18 years of IT experience with at least 5+ years in leadership roles
  • Proven ability to scale IT operations in a multi-location/global organization
  • Strong technical foundation across infrastructure, M365, networking, and IT operations
  • Experience managing budgets, vendors, and transformation initiatives
  • Strong leadership presence and stakeholder management capability
