About Globalstep

GlobalStep is a creative and technical services company to the video games industry. We work with leading game studios and publishers from delivery centers in India, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Romania, and Portugal. Our teams support global clients across multiple time zones through services including Art Production, Engineering, Games QA, Localization, and Player Engagement.

We are privately held and founder-led. Our technology environment supports a globally distributed, delivery-intensive business with multiple offices, client connectivity requirements, remote and in-studio operations, specialized gaming hardware, cloud services, enterprise applications, and stringent information-security expectations. As GlobalStep scales, technology and security must remain resilient, cost-effective, responsive to business needs, and trusted by our clients.

Why This Role Is Different

This is not a conventional infrastructure administration role. The Director – Information Technology will be responsible for defining and implementing the technology and security architecture that enables GlobalStep to operate securely, efficiently, and consistently across countries, offices, service lines, and client environments.

The role combines enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, infrastructure operations, client engagement, Microsoft 365 excellence, AI enablement, and global support transformation. The successful candidate will be expected to make sound technology choices, lead disciplined implementation, build effective 24×7 monitoring and response capabilities, and ensure that IT remains closely aligned with business priorities.

The role will also help GlobalStep use technology as a productivity multiplier. This includes implementing AI capabilities embedded within Microsoft 365, supporting AI-enabled delivery and non-billable workflows, improving collaboration between offices, and centralizing remote infrastructure management and support in India wherever practical.

What You Will Own

1. Enterprise Security Architecture
Design and implement GlobalStep’s security architecture, including security-system design, tool evaluation and selection, implementation, operating procedures, and continuous improvement. Ensure that the architecture addresses, at a minimum, identity, access, devices, endpoints, networks, cloud environments, data movement, and egress controls.

2. 24×7 Security and Network Monitoring
Establish and oversee effective 24×7 Security Operations Center (SOC) and Network Operations Center (NOC) monitoring. Define monitoring coverage, alerting, escalation, incident response, service levels, operating metrics, and integration between internal teams, managed-service providers, and business stakeholders.

3. Network and IT Architecture
Define the network and broader IT architecture of GlobalStep so that it is secure, scalable, resilient, cost-conscious, and responsive to business needs. Own architecture standards and guide the administration of connectivity, infrastructure, cloud services, endpoints, office technology, remote access, and related platforms across all locations.

4. Microsoft 365 Excellence
Lead a top-quality implementation and ongoing optimization of Microsoft 365. Strengthen identity and access management, collaboration, productivity, endpoint management, information protection, governance, administration, and user adoption across the organization.

5. Client-Facing IT and Security Leadership
Serve as a senior interface for clients on IT, infrastructure, cybersecurity, compliance, connectivity, access, incident, audit, and assurance matters. Represent GlobalStep confidently in client discussions, respond to technical and security requirements, support due-diligence processes, and build client confidence in GlobalStep’s technology environment and controls.

6. Cost-Effective Technology Solutions
Identify, evaluate, and implement low-cost, highly effective technology solutions, including antivirus and endpoint protection, conferencing, collaboration, connectivity, and office-to-office communication tools. Balance security, reliability, usability, scalability, and total cost of ownership when making technology decisions.

7. AI Enablement within Microsoft 365
Build sufficient organizational and technical capability to implement AI tools embedded within Microsoft 365, including Microsoft Copilot and related capabilities. Develop adoption plans, security and governance guardrails, use cases, training, and measurement approaches that produce meaningful improvements in productivity and decision-making.

8. AI Support for Delivery and Corporate Functions
Support the rollout of capabilities that leverage AI in the delivery of client services and in the automation or assistance of non-billable work. Partner with business, delivery, process, and functional leaders to enable secure experimentation, select practical tools, support implementation, and ensure appropriate controls around data, access, intellectual property, and client obligations.

9. Remote Infrastructure Management and Global Support
Develop and deploy a remote infrastructure management and IT-support strategy that centralizes appropriate support capabilities in India, improves coverage and consistency, reduces global support costs, and minimizes the need for onshore resources without compromising service quality or business continuity.

10. IT Operations, Governance and Service Management
Create clear standards, operating procedures, asset controls, service-management practices, vendor governance, budgets, performance metrics, risk registers, disaster-recovery arrangements, and business-continuity capabilities. Ensure technology services are measurable, accountable, well documented, and continuously improved.

11. Team and Partner Leadership
Build, lead, and develop a capable IT and security organization. Clarify responsibilities across global and India-based teams, select and manage external vendors and managed-service partners, set performance expectations, and foster a culture of ownership, responsiveness, security awareness, and service excellence.
