GlobalStep has recently opened a 20,000-square-foot facility in Dallas alongside its corporate offices. The HR Manager will play a key role in supporting GlobalStep’s Games QA Test Centre of Excellence, ensuring the quality assurance and testing of cutting-edge, unreleased games from some of the biggest names in the gaming industry.
In this role, you will oversee all aspects of employee lifecycle management for a team of 150 passionate, gaming-savvy professionals committed to delivering exceptional gameplay experiences. We are seeking an energetic and people-focused HR leader who can foster a positive, engaging environment for the testing team while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Employee Records & Compliance:
- Responsible for offer letters, onboarding, employment checks and retention strategies
- Manage employment contracts, terminations, and contractor/freelancer management, ensuring compliance with federal, state (Texas) and local labor laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality in handling sensitive documentation.
- Policy Management:
- Must be a “Master of Policies” including Travel, Security, Benefit packages, etc.
- Maintain and communicate HR policies to employees and leadership.
- Develop, implement, and monitor HR policies (e.g., travel, benefits).
- Ensure policies are adhered to across the organization and take corrective actions for violations.
- Payroll & Timekeeping:
- Oversee onboarding processes, including payroll setup and collection of employee information.
- Monitor attendance, manage timekeeping systems, and address discrepancies as needed.
- Employee Relations & Compliance:
- Foster a welcoming, open-door policy to provide guidance and support to employees at all levels.
- Function as a mediator for workplace conflicts, fostering resolution and a positive workplace environment.
- Address performance issues and collaborate with managers to drive positive outcomes.
- Serve as a trusted HR partner to the senior management team, offering proactive and personalized solutions.
- Oversee employee exits, conduct thoughtful exit interviews, and manage offboarding processes.
- Reporting & Strategic Insights:
- Prepare and deliver HR metrics and reports to senior leadership, including data on turnover, compliance, and retention.
- Develop and optimize HR workflows, policies, and procedures to align with company growth and compliance standards.
- Facilities & Operations Management:
- Take ownership of daily office operations, addressing facility needs (e.g., equipment troubleshooting, security protocols, and workspace maintenance).
- Serve as a visible, on-site leader, fostering a positive, well-managed workplace environment.
- Manage logistical responsibilities such as opening, closing, and ensuring the smooth operation of the facility.
- Organizational Growth & Leadership:
- Collaborate with the SVP of Client Services and leadership teams to align HR initiatives with operational objectives.
- Support employee development, career growth, and workplace engagement initiatives.
Requirements
Location: Must reside in the Dallas, TX area and be willing to work on-site in Richardson, TX daily (non-negotiable).
- Over 10 years of HR experience, including 5+ years as an HR Manager.
- Extensive background in contact center and BPO environments, specializing in high-volume recruitment for both contract and permanent positions.
- Proven expertise in daily, face-to-face employee engagement and HR operations.
- Hands-on, proactive HR professional who takes an active role in managing HR tasks to ensure smooth operations and direct employee support.
- Collaborative team player who values organizational expertise while bringing fresh insights, knowledge, and a willingness to learn.
- Strong understanding of Texas and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Proficient in HRIS and timekeeping systems.
- Strategic problem-solver with a proactive, tactical approach.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel) and HRIS tools.
Salary Range
$80-130K+
