Job Summary
The Manager – Talent Acquisition will lead and scale end-to-end hiring for game art, game development, and quality assurance roles across India at GlobalStep. This is a critical leadership role for someone who understands the games ecosystem deeply and can translate that understanding into consistently hiring world-class game professionals.
You will manage and mentor a team of recruiters and sourcers, drive hiring strategies aligned to GlobalStep’s growth ambitions, and act as a trusted partner to business leaders across game development, quality assurance, art, and creative services. Success in this role requires hands-on experience hiring within a game studio or games services organization, strong knowledge of games talent hubs, and the ability to attract candidates who are both technically strong and genuinely passionate about games.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Recruitment
- Own and drive the complete recruitment lifecycle for game development, art, creative, and QA roles across multiple levels.
- Design and execute targeted sourcing strategies aligned to games industry talent pools and hiring challenges.
- Ensure a best-in-class candidate experience that reflects GlobalStep’s culture, values, and passion for games.
- Talent Pipeline Development
- Proactively build and maintain strong pipelines for critical and niche gaming roles.
- Anticipate future hiring needs based on business growth plans and evolving service lines.
- Leverage deep understanding of game studios and games services talent markets to stay ahead of demand.
- Employer Branding
- Position GlobalStep as an employer of choice through branding initiatives within the games ecosystem.
- Act as a brand ambassador across gaming communities, platforms, and recruitment touchpoints.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to strengthen employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Partner closely with hiring managers and delivery leaders to understand role requirements, skill expectations, and team dynamics.
- Advise leaders on talent availability, compensation benchmarks, and hiring trade-offs within the games industry
- Offer Negotiation
- Lead offer discussions and negotiations within approved budgets.
- Drive offer acceptance through market insight, candidate engagement, and compelling value propositions
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Track, analyze, and report key recruitment metrics such as time-to-hire, quality of hire, pipeline health, and offer conversion.
- Use data and insights to continuously improve hiring effectiveness and predictability
- Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies and job boards.
- Negotiate and oversee contracts for cost-effective partnerships.
- Ensure external partners understand GlobalStep’s hiring standards and games-industry expectations.
- Team Management
- Lead and mentor a team of recruiters and sourcing specialists for high performance.
- Build strong games-industry hiring capability within the TA team.
Qualification And Experience
- Master’s degree in human resources or related field.
- 10+ years of experience recruiting for global organizations with minimum 5 years in Talent Acquisition for gaming studios or gaming services industry.
- Proven experience hiring across game development, QA, art, creative, and engineering roles.
- Strong understanding of games talent segments, skill requirements, career paths, and hiring dynamics.
- Hands-on experience with ATS platforms, recruitment marketing tools, and sourcing techniques.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
- A genuine passion for the video games industry and the people who create great games.
