Summary of Job Profile
The Vice President of Marketing will play a crucial role in the global marketing team, contributing to and executing strategic marketing initiatives that align with the company’s overarching business objectives. This pivotal position requires a visionary leader with a strong background in marketing and a proven track record of managing diverse promotional projects from inception to completion.
As a key member of the global marketing leadership team, the Vice President will be responsible for coordinating and formulating marketing strategies for brand, digital, content, communications, and marketing operations in collaboration with the US-based leadership team. She / He will lead the marketing shared services function based in India, overseeing digital marketing and marketing operations, including identifying, designing, and implementing the appropriate tech stack to achieve the company’s marketing objectives.
A comprehensive understanding of the full spectrum of the digital marketing tech stack, including websites and social media platforms, is essential. This role reports to the CMO based in the US and involves hiring, managing, and ensuring the effectiveness of a team of 20 marketing professionals based in India.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns that align with business objectives, encompassing digital marketing, content marketing, and promotional initiatives. • Should have experience in managing a marketing shared services function based in India, with responsibilities that include overseeing digital marketing and marketing operations. This involves identifying, designing, and implementing the appropriate tech stack to effectively achieve the company’s marketing objectives.
• Conduct thorough market research to identify target audiences, understand customer needs, analyze competitor activities, and uncover opportunities for growth and innovation.
• Manage and ensure effective allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
• Contributing and executing comprehensive branding strategies to enhance brand recognition and drive market growth
• Drive customer engagement through various channels, including content marketing, social media, email marketing, and other digital platforms.
• Create and implement marketing strategies that support pre-sales and sales enablement objectives. • Possess solid knowledge of SEO, web analytics, and related tech stack.
• Have experience with CRM software and digital marketing tools and techniques.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations on marketing metrics for the CEO and senior leadership of GlobalStep
Requirements
• Over 18+ years of marketing experience, with a proven track record of success, including at least 7 years in a senior management role overseeing teams and strategic initiatives.
• Master’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Possess B2B marketing experience, preferably within an IT services firm.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to develop and implement effective marketing strategies that align with business goals. •Strong analytical skills, with the ability to create and present detailed reports and Excel sheets.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the marketing industry to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative.
• Passionate about gaming industry and the ability to understand GlobalStep’s lines of business and organizational structure.
• Strong process understanding, with the ability to create, formalize, and document various processes.
• Focused on achieving measurable outcomes and driving business growth.
• Strong understanding of the importance of responsiveness, with demonstrated capability of managing a team of 20+ members
